Dr. Jake Jang
Principal Dentist
Dr Jake Jang graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia Dental School, Perth. Since then, he has worked with Australia’s leading dentists and specialists.
Dr Jang has excelled in all aspects of dentistry in order to offer complete and comprehensive care at one location. His interests include cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, complex wisdom teeth extractions and implant dentistry. He completed the Master Implant Program at the Brener Implant Institute, one of Australia’s leading prosthodontics and implant programs, which specialises in all aspects of bone grafting and dental implants.
Committed to professional development, Dr Jang has undertaken further training in porcelain veneers and full arch rehabilitation. In recognition of clinical excellence in orthodontic treatment, his practice has been awarded Diamond Provider status by Invisalign in 2024. He is also an Australian Dental Association Federal and NSW Member.
Known for his calm and soothing manner, Dr Jake Jang is passionate about staying at the forefront of dentistry to ensure that his patients receive the best possible dental care and treatments.

Dr. Kelvin Lin
Dentist
Dr. Kelvin Lin graduated from the University of Melbourne and is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring his patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment journey. With a strong emphasis on clear communication, he takes the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care strategies, empowering patients to make confident decisions about their oral health.
Understanding that dental visits can be stressful for some, Dr. Lin has a compassionate approach to treating anxious patients. He prioritises creating a calm and supportive environment and offers solutions such as twilight sedation to help patients feel relaxed during their treatment. His gentle and reassuring manner helps ease dental anxiety, making visits a more positive experience.
Dr. Lin enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, from routine check-ups to restorative and complex procedures. He is committed to staying up to date with the latest advancements in dental techniques and technology to provide the best possible care for his patients.

Dr. Ingar Wong
Dentist
Dr. Ingar Wong graduated from Griffith University in 2022 with a University Medal and awards in prosthodontics and periodontics. Since then, he has been practicing across multiple clinics in Sydney, gaining valuable experience in diverse clinical settings. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in endodontics and oral surgery.
Dr. Wong is dedicated to continual learning and professional growth. He has completed the RACDS primary examinations and the Brener Master Implant Program in 2024, along with a wide range of continuing education courses, including wisdom tooth extractions and adhesive onlays. In 2025, he will further expand his expertise by undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) at ACDP. His commitment to ongoing education ensures he stays at the forefront of modern dental techniques and advancements.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail and thorough approach, Dr. Wong prioritises honesty, transparency, and patient education. He believes in empowering patients with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their oral health, fostering trust and confidence in their treatment. Additionally, he values strong collaboration with his colleagues and dental support staff, recognising that a cohesive team is essential for delivering the best patient care.

Anusha Sinjali
Oral Health Therapist
Starting as a dental assistant, Anusha Sinjali witnessed the positive transformations in patients, which led her to realise the significant impact an Oral Health Therapist can have on improving people’s lives through better oral health. Inspired by her family’s dedication in health sectors, she pursued a career in dentistry and now thrives as an Oral Health Therapist at Gosford Family Dentist.
Anusha values the supportive and friendly staff who provide excellent mentorship, allowing her to focus on preventive care and patient education while staying updated with the latest dental advancements. Her colleagues describe her as polite, calm, and customer-focused.
In her spare time, Anusha enjoys cooking dumplings, exploring new places, hiking, playing ping pong and basketball, and watching movies.
Dr. Robert Turnbull
Principal Sedationist
Dr. Robert Turnbull has practiced dental sedation for more than 10 years. He believes that fear, phobia or anxiety should not interfere with excellent dental care, and his goal is to ensure that all patients have access to safe, stress-free, and quality dentistry.
As an endorsed dental sedationist, Dr. Turnbull completes annual re-endorsement training in the management of medical emergencies. He is on the council of The Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology and manages the annual scientific meeting and emergency management training provided by the society. Dr. Turnbull also teaches dental undergraduate and postgraduate students in the IV sedation department of the University of Sydney based at Westmead Hospital in Sydney.
Malina Phalome
Practice Manager
In more than 10 years of working in the dental industry, Malina Phalome has worked with leading dentists, specialists and professors, and mentored dental assistants. Her career began as a trainee dental assistant, and she has since gained numerous qualifications in specialist dental techniques and business administration.
When Malina joined the Gosford Family Dentists team she immediately fell in love with the role and patients. She thinks of the practice as one big happy family and enjoys meeting patients from different backgrounds and cultures.
Outside of work, Malina spends most of her time with family and friends, and especially likes doing fun things and enjoying delicious food with her nieces and nephews as the ‘Cool Aunty’.
Dr. Michael Cai
Dentist
Dr Michael Cai graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) from the University of Western Australia, earning multiple awards and research scholarships. With a background as a dental technician, he combines technical expertise with a passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
He completed advanced implant training at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the GIDE Institute, and has treated high-profile clients, including NRL players, chefs, and actors. Known for his precision and compassionate care, Dr Cai specialises in creating relaxed experiences, including twilight sedation for dental-phobic patients.
Dr Cai’s CBD practice is an Invisalign Diamond Elite Provider and has been featured in media outlets such as Today Tonight and Sunrise. As a key opinion leader, he collaborates with leading dental companies to stay at the forefront of innovation.
Zoe Kinder
Dental Assistant
Zoe Kinder’s family had been patients at Gosford Family Dentists for over 15 years so, when she started, she felt right at home.
Zoe joined the practice from high school through the Big Picture Program. She loves the opportunity to learn new things and is now pursuing qualifications in dental assisting.
As an adventurer, Zoe enjoys camping all around Newcastle and the Central Coast in any kind of weather. And in good weather, she loves getting out on her boat with family and friends.
Tara Ugur
Dental Assistant
Tara was drawn to the hands-on and rewarding nature of dental care and is currently studying her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. She enjoys supporting patients and learning from a friendly, experienced team.
Known for her positive attitude and eagerness to grow, Tara is a valued member of Gosford Family Dentists. Outside of work, she enjoys team sports, nature walks, travelling, and spending time with loved ones.
April Kim
Dental Assistant
April’s passion for dentistry stems from her own positive experiences as a patient, inspiring her to deliver that same level of comfort and care to others. Holding both a Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting, her attentive approach helps keep treatments relaxed, comfortable, and stress-free.
When she’s not at the clinic, April loves recharging outdoors by gardening, camping, or exploring national parks.
Layla Merrett
Dental Assistant
Layla brings an outgoing and approachable energy to the Gosford Family Dentist team. With a keen interest in healthcare, she enjoys the hands-on experience of supporting the practice with in-depth dental procedures and surgeries while completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
Known for her natural ability to put nervous patients at ease, Layla takes pride in making every dental visit a calm, stress-free, and positive experience.
Outside of work, Layla is a national-level Taekwondo black belt and competitive bodybuilder.
Isla Webb
Dental Assistant
Known for her friendly and empathetic nature, Isla joined the dental industry for a practical, patient-focused career. Currently completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting, her favourite part of working at Gosford Family Dentist is providing compassionate care and seeing her patients leave with a confident smile after their appointment.
Outside of work, Isla spends her free time playing rugby league.
