The History of Gosford Family Dentists & Dr Jake Jang
Gosford Family Dentists is proud to be one of the Central Coast’s longest-serving professional dental clinics. Since the early 1970s, we’ve built a strong reputation as the local dentist Central Coast families know and trust. When Dr Jake Jang took over the practice in 2015, he carried on the tradition of exceptional care, professionalism and genuine patient relationships. Today, Dr Jake remains committed to upholding these values and the Gosford Family Dentists vision, while bringing a modern and personalised approach to every aspect of dental care.
A Vision for Patient-Centred Care
Patient care has always been at the heart of Gosford Family Dentist. Dr Jake’s vision for a more modern, personalised clinic inspired the 2016 renovations, which focused on creating a welcoming and calming environment designed with comfort in mind. The updated layout introduced a new reception area and state-of-the-art treatment rooms, equipped with the latest technology to help make every visit as relaxed and stress-free as possible.
Dr Jake and the team at Gosford Family Dentist have created a space where service goes beyond dentistry and where patients are treated like family. The team understands the importance of taking the time to get to know you and listen to your concerns. It’s a privilege to be the trusted local dentist Central Coast families continue to choose, and we’re proud that new patients often come to us through word of mouth — a reflection of the genuine care and high standards we strive for every day.
Our Gosford Dental Team
Since taking over the practice in 2015, Dr Jake and Malina have been welcoming patients and their families to Gosford Family Dentist. They have expanded the team to include dentists who share the same vision and values of friendly, high-quality care. The team now includes Dr Kelvin Lin, Dr Ingar Wong and Dr Michael Cai, working alongside experienced support staff to deliver a comprehensive range of dental services for all ages, from children’s check-ups to advanced restorative treatments.
Our Practice and Technology
We believe patients deserve the best comfort and care. Our modern approach to patient care and experience features treatment rooms with ceiling-mounted TVs and noise-cancelling headphones so patients can relax, enjoying music or watching their favourite Netflix show during an appointment.
Our patients also have access to and experience the latest technology in dental diagnostics, including a Sirona Cone Beam CT 3D imaging system and panoramic X-ray machine for virtual imaging in-house. By using these latest technologies, we can see high-definition images of patients’ teeth, mouth, jaw, sinus, and airways in real time, and discuss any dental problems and recommend treatments.
Our advanced Digital Smile Design (DSD) service is perfect for veneers and other cosmetic procedures, and allows you to ‘test drive’ your new smile before committing to your new look. Dr Jake and the team create bespoke smiles for each individual, understanding that each mouth is different, and each smile can be personalised to match the patient’s needs and goals.
Gosford Dental Implants
We’re also proud to have expanded our offerings to provide a dedicated implant service through Gosford Dental Implants. Our team uses computer-guided technology to place dental implants with exceptional precision and safety, helping reduce post-treatment discomfort. Crowns and bridges can also be added to implants during a single appointment.
Our Commitment to Quality
Gosford Family Dentist has been awarded an independent Quality Innovation Performance accreditation, which is in recognition of the clinic’s commitment to providing patients with the highest professional, safety, hygienic and quality oral care. This accreditation confirms our robust policies and procedures meet the strictest industry requirements governing the dental industry.
